Number of employees
Buffalo Wild Wings proudly operates over 1,200 stores across the country. Half of the stores are directly owned by the corporate entity, while the other half are franchise locations. Together, these stores employ over 40,000 full-time and part-time employees.
Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowry, two food lovers from New York, founded Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck in 1982. The first restaurant was located on High Street in Columbus, Ohio and featured a great food menu of wings, beer and beef sandwiches. Surprisingly, before the restaurant was the go-to place for viewing Sunday football, it featured music videos on each of its televisions. Today, the name of the restaurant is officially Buffalo Wild Wings, also known as BWW and B-Dubs. BWW continues to grow and expand its menu according to the changing tastes of society while sticking to its original theme of great bar food and beer.
Company mission statement
The mission of Buffalo Wild Wings is clear: “To WOW people every day!” The staff at BWW is guest-driven and aims to WOW their guests by achieving the highest level of satisfaction with an extraordinary focus on friendly service, food, fun and value.
Buffalo Wild Wings operates in the restaurant franchise industry. Competition in the industry includes popular restaurants like Chilis, Applebees and Hooters. Buffalo Wild Wings only continues to grow. BWW is not going anywhere any time soon.
