Refund Coordinator- Jacksonville Florida

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Refund Coordinator for our busy Central Business Office. This is not a remote position. The Refund Coordinator is responsible for researching, analyzing and preparing refund requests from incoming correspondence. This position also runs credit balance reports for all payers as necessary and completes any special projects as assigned by supervisor. In addition to these duties, the Refund Coordinator provides backup to the lockbox and cash application team on a daily basis as needed. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: 

• Receives all written requests for refunds; researches and requests funds appropriately
• Processes refunds with billing and reimbursement knowledge
• Prepares refund requests for all payers via credit balance report
• Enters refund into system
• Attends to any special projects assigned by the department supervisor
• Cross trains to provide backup to the lockbox and cash application team on a daily basis as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Full-time position

Education and Experience: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Minimum of one or more years of business office experience, preferably with use of Microsoft Excel and a ten key calculator
