Contractor Services Representative-Jacksonville Florida

SUMMARY
Handle incoming calls about various owner-operator settlement issues and/or requests for funds. Resolve issues internally or forward them to the department best able to resolve them while promoting retention.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Perform follow-up calls and provide consistent monitoring of open issues
- Assist owner-operators with initiation of customer services disputes
- Document all calls that require action either within contractor services and/or other departments
- Evaluate financial statistics for owner-operators and make suggestions of how to increase net settlements
- Review/research owner-operator red file issues
- Research contractor negative debt balances and assist in resolution
- Contact contractors to discuss and collect negative balances and unreturned pre-trip advances due to the company
- Provide approval/denial of advance requests up to $1,500
- Investigate trip paperwork issues and if possible, retrieve, label, and forward for processing

- Data entry skills 88 kpm
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Previous Landstar customer service experience
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- One to three years in a call center required
